Photos before you touch eBay

White table. Box closed. Lid text readable. No pile of extras in the frame. Phone level with the lid, not a ceiling shot.

Do not photograph an open kit. Sealed is the whole pitch.

What to click, in order

Desktop website, not the app. The app hides Best Offer and makes paste miserable. Use the JYPE eBay account Everette already set up.

eBay A/B tests this form. If a label is off by a word, it is the same control. Do not pick a catalog product that is not this box.

1. Open ebay.com. Top right, click Sign in. Use the JYPE account.
2. Top nav, click Sell. If that dumps you on a marketing page, click List an item. Same place from My eBay (top right) → Selling → List an item. Direct: ebay.com/sl/sell.
3. You should see Tell us what you're selling. Click that search box. Paste the title from the leak-kit card below. Press Enter or click the magnifying glass.
4. Catalog cards appear. Do not click ARG-LDKT. Do not click a loose used Argon. Do not click Adafruit 4004 unless the photo is this exact sealed bundle. Scroll to the bottom and click Continue without matching. Some accounts say List anyway or just Continue.
5. The listing form opens. Top of the page, click Change listing preferences. Check Enable more options. Click Save. That unlocks Best Offer amounts and Good 'Til Cancelled.
6. Photos. Click the big + tile, or Add photos. Pick the closed-lid shot first. Add the closer shot second. First photo is the search thumbnail.
7. Title. Click the Title field. Paste the title. Stay under 80 characters. Skip a paid subtitle unless you already pay for them.
8. Item category. If eBay guessed wrong, click the category line, then Browse / See all / Change. Click, in this order: Business & Industrial → Electrical Equipment & Supplies → Electronic Components & Semiconductors → Semiconductors & Actives → Development Kits & Boards. That last one is the leaf. Do not stop on Circuit Boards & Prototyping. That folder is only breadboards and blank PCBs. Other Electronic Components is gone. Click Continue or Done.
9. Condition. Click New. Sealed factory box. Not New (Other). Not Used.
10. Item specifics. Fill every field with a red asterisk. Brand Particle. Type Development Kit. Model Argon. Connectivity Wi-Fi, Bluetooth. Processor nRF52840. Compatible Brand Particle, Adafruit Feather. On UPC / EAN, click Does not apply. Do not invent a barcode.
11. Description. Click the description box. Paste the matching block below. If eBay offers an AI draft from the photos, click out of it and paste ours.
12. Pricing. Click Buy It Now. Do not click Auction. Type the price. Quantity 1. Under Pricing, click More options. Check Allow offers. Type the auto-accept and the auto-decline from the card below.
13. Duration. Click Good 'Til Cancelled. If you do not see it, you skipped Enable more options.
14. Shipping. Click the shipping block. Domestic: Calculated, buyer pays the real rate. Click Add shipping service if nothing is selected. Choose USPS Ground Advantage. Do not pick Priority Mail. Do not pick Ground Advantage International. Handling time 1 business day. Package: small box, not a floppy mailer. Leak kit about 12 oz. Mesh bundle about 1.5 lb. Measure if you have a scale. Offer local pickup only if you want an Eastside buyer to skip shipping. Do not check free shipping.
15. Returns. Click Returns accepted. Period 30 days. Who pays: Buyer. New seller accounts eat a 1-star if you refuse returns.
16. Scroll to the bottom. Read the preview once. Click List it. Do not click Save as draft unless you are going to finish it in the same sitting.
17. For the mesh bundle, click Sell again, or List another item, or Sell one like this on the leak listing and then overwrite every field. Repeat steps 3 to 16 with the mesh card.

What's in the box (printed on the lid): Particle Argon, Particle Xenon, Grove water sensor, buzzer, 2.4 GHz antenna, USB cable, Grove shield, two Grove wires, LiPo battery. The LiPo ships in the box. This is a lithium-ion cell packed with the equipment (UN3481). Domestic Ground only.

What still works. The Argon does 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, BLE, and Particle Cloud on current Device OS. The Grove water sensor and buzzer work. You can flash your own firmware over USB. CircuitPython builds exist for both boards (particle_argon, particle_xenon).

What does not. Particle Mesh died December 31, 2020. You cannot create a new mesh or add the Xenon to one. Official leak-kit firmware used Mesh.publish, which is gone after Device OS 1.5.2. This is not a plug-and-play leak alarm. It is an Argon + Xenon + Grove kit.

Do not treat this as Particle ARG-LDKT. That catalog kit shipped 2 Xenons and 2 sensors. This box is 1 of each.

2. Mesh WiFi Bundle

Adafruit asked $90 in 2019. That number is dead. Everette is already getting emails about other mesh-bundle listings.

Description

Sealed Particle Mesh WiFi Bundle, Full Starter Kit. Same kit Adafruit sold as product 4004. New old stock, never opened.

What's in the box: 1 Argon kit, 2 Xenon kits, 1 Particle Debugger (SWD / JTAG), 1 Particle FeatherWing Tripler. Argon kits include a LiPo. The LiPo ships in the box. This is a lithium-ion cell packed with the equipment (UN3481). Domestic Ground only.

What still works. Each Argon is a Feather-shaped nRF52840 + ESP32 Wi-Fi board. Particle Cloud still talks to Argons. The debugger is the useful extra. That is how you wipe a Xenon and put CircuitPython or the Nordic nRF5 Thread SDK on it. Xenons are also fine as BLE / USB nRF52840 boards.

What does not. Official Particle Mesh is discontinued. No new mesh, no Mesh.publish after Device OS 1.5.2. The Argon cannot be an OpenThread gateway. Buy this for the boards and the debugger, not for a working mesh out of the box.

When one sells

Do this on the label. Skipping it is how eBay dings the account.

1. eBay top right, My eBay → Selling, or open Seller Hub Orders.
2. Click the order. Click Print shipping label or Create shipping label.
3. Confirm USPS Ground Advantage. Weight and box size from the listing.
4. Find the checkbox This package contains hazardous materials (sometimes just Hazardous materials). Check it.
5. In the dropdown, pick the lithium-ion option that says packed with or contained in equipment. A lot of accounts only show Used electronic / rechargeable batteries. That one is fine. It locks the label to Ground. Do not pick a standalone lithium battery. Do not uncheck the box to get cheaper air.
6. Click Purchase label / Print. Tape the label on a small rigid box. The kit box goes inside with a little padding so nothing rattles.
7. On the outside, same side as the address, put a DOT lithium-battery mark that says UN3481 and a phone number. A roll of UN3481 stickers is a few dollars. One package can be a printed mark if it is the official diamond mark, not a Sharpie scribble.
8. Hand it to a human at the post office counter. Do not drop it in a blue box.

If nobody bites in a week, drop $3. Do not list the rest of the pile first.

Why this and not $50 / $80
